Dear Artists: Welcome to my first BLOG page on our web. I will update the site frequently.

This years’ juries were very competitive. By now, you have hopefully received your show status info. If you are in, congrats. If not, I am very sorry. Often the jury scores lower when the slides submitted did not give them a clear idea of a body of work. If you are waitlisted, we will call you as spaces become available up to the day before a festival. Wait list artists may also come to a festival, where last minute openings will be filled by wait list artists at the festival.

During 25 years of running festivals, I can tell you that no matter the economic climate, great art made with integrity has always sold. I do think it is a good idea to have art at different price points this summer, so you can have something for people who have more, and those who have less to spend on art.

Please remember that the deadline for reserving Art Annual pages is March 26. We compile this book in a very short time and must stick to the deadline in order to have the books in hand at our first festival.

Discounted hotel rooms are blocked for you. Info was sent out, and the same info is going to be posted on our web-site too.

We are in the process of creating a “bank” of homes where artists will be welcome to stay for FREE during the weekend of the art festival. More on this as it is available.

Refinements are always made. Watch for a better, less windy layout in Arlington Heights.

We will have a Voter’s Registration booth at every festival to encourage participation in the upcoming election.
